The museum opened on May 10, 2011 and is located in the former parking lot of the nearby Salvation Army Building. The building has been thoroughly gutted and is now home to the museum.

The museum also has an outdoor section with a regular schedule of events.

Very few people are aware that American agriculture was once much more than just wheat and soybeans. In fact, most people think of it as being mainly associated with corn and soybeans today. We will also visit the Medieval Hall of Armours, Swords and Shields where many curious guests are able to try on medieval items such as chain mail, steel helmets, and even chain scabbards.
