Do you help me find a location?

We provide clear direction on real estate site selection based on the demographic material. Each franchisee is assigned to our franchise real estate agency based in Atlanta, GA who will create and provide full demographic reports that identify key target locations, summarize all available vanilla shell sites that meet Contender Esports requirements, provide site visits as needed, negotiate on your behalf with landlords, and manage the project transfer to the fulfillment and design company for your new store.

What type of locations fit into Contender Esports site criteria?

The ideal size range for a Contender Esports Franchise is generally 1000-1200 Sq Ft for an Elite location and 1800-3000 Sq. Ft. for a Premier location. Elite and Premier locations are usually located in neighborhood and community strip centers, power centers, shopping malls, universities, airports, malls and downtown business district locations. The optimal area is typically densely populated, has a significant traffic count, is highly visible and is located near numerous traffic generators.

What demographics does Contender Esports look for?

Our target customer is between the ages of 16-35 and roughly 27% skewed towards men. We offer a value-based product so our guests need to have some ancillary income in order to frequent our locations on a regular basis. Therefore, we try to find locations amongst the average household incomes or higher for a given market. We cannot exclude certain areas given the range of our guests overall and so we do not limit ourselves to a particular set of demographics across the board.

How much money can I make?

Since the actual results of individual franchises are based on factors that are not within the control of Contender Esports, we do not provide estimates of profits or revenues. However, after consulting with a Contender Esports Franchise Development Manager and reviewing the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD), you will have the opportunity to contact our existing franchisees regarding their experiences.

What are the ongoing fees paid to Contender Esports?

Franchisees pay an ongoing royalty fee of 6% of weekly sales. 2% of your weekly sales will be paid into the Contender Esports Advertising Fund for additional advertising expenses. Advertising expenses include reserving 2% of your weekly gross sales to be spent by you on local marketing.

What is the best source for researching the Contender Esports Franchising Opportunity?

Each qualified candidate receives a copy of the Contender Esports Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD), which provides the following information and more: franchisors financial statements, copy of the franchise agreement, copy of the area development agreement, cost breakdowns, advertising fees, royalties, and initial franchise fees.

What type of training do you provide?

Training is split up into four segments. The first segment is business training, which can be taken at our online Academy and generally consists of four weeks of intense online training which happens immediately after the franchise agreement is signed. When construction begins on your store, the second phase of operational training occurs at our headquarters in Springfield, Missouri and takes four days. Once the buildout is complete, the third stage of training happens at your location with our gaming center trainers and takes seven days prior to opening. The final stage of training occurs after your opening when you work directly with the business consultant assigned to you. This training happens each week on a 1 to 2 hour phone call to review the progress of your store and the proper application of the skills that have been taught.

How many team members do I need at a Contender Esports location?

Contender Esports recommends 6-8 team members on staff, with 1 staff member in the store Monday through Thursday and 1-2 in the store Friday through Sunday.

What are the Contender eSpports hours of operation?

Hours of operation are Monday to Thursday 9 am - 10 pm, Friday and Saturday 12 pm - 2 am, and Sunday 1 pm - 10 pm. We also allow for adjusted hours during school months.

Are Customer's Game Settings Saved?

Many customers will have specific attributes and add-ons that they may use playing at home. These attributes and add-ons are often automatically in place at Contender Esports when the customer logs in. But not always. This is dependent upon the game itself and how it saves player settings. As long as a game stores a player's configuration settings on their servers then the settings should load up just fine whenever they log into their account for that game. If those settings are stored locally in a temp file they will need to reconfigure each time the customer plays. In summary, this ability to transfer the settings is completely dependent upon the individual game manufacturer.

Can Customers Use Their Time at Different Locations?

Technically our management software does not allow for a customer of one location to use their available time at a different location, but franchisees tend to honor customers from other locations.
