5 Day Plan -- $150 per week    |    3 Day Plan -- $90 per week

Thank you for considering using our facility during this “hopefully!” temporary adjustment with the Springfield Public School District. Our goal is simple; we know some parents have been presented with a challenge that was unexpected and have limited solutions. We have decided to offer our facility as a possible solution. While we are doing this, our normal business will continue, though we will be opening early for school drop offs while opening to the general public after normal school hours.

Students

We will be accepting students from the 3rd grade and higher. Because we are not a school nor a daycare, there is a high level of expectation of behavior for the students. They must be able to self manage, listen to simple directions and not expect to be disciplined by our staff. They will be welcomed, cared for, protected and helped when they have questions or need assistance. We will always assist them with any technical issues they may be having. We reserve the right to reassign a students seat to another family if self management becomes challenging.

Parents Reception Night

We invite all parents of registered students to attend our Welcome Night on Thursday, August 20th at 7pm. We will be serving small foods, snacks and drinks, giving you an opportunity to meet our staff, get a feel for our facilities and spend some time with our owners. Your children will also have an opportunity to see the setups they will have. This is a great opportunity to meet other parents and become familiar with the Contender Esports family.

And bring your game face … we might have a trick or two up our sleeve …. We do have a LOT of games, after all!

Fee Schedule

The fees will be monthly at the beginning of the month.  And can be made by check or credit card. We have 52 available seats available. We are limited and do provide three options to choose from:

Weekly Payment Option

We do provide a weekly payment option, as well. This plan requires the first two weeks to be paid upfront and a credit/debit card to be on file with us for subsequent payments.

Weekly payments do not discount for off weeks.

Off Weeks

Wednesday is an overlap day between the SPS early week group and late week group. We want to offer this to both groups, but may not be able to have everyone there on Wednesday because we don’t have enough space. This is completely dependent on the number of signups.

This is only true IF we have a full group on both the Mon - Wed and Wed - Friday. If we can do overlap, we will let you know and off weeks will not be necessary.

Therefore every other week your student (unless they are 5 days) will not be able to attend. We will not charge you for that day. We will also actively look for solutions for our families for that day that might accommodate. But, plan on every other Wednesday for a home tutor or sitter. We can help you find these!

Communication and Safety

A Private Facebook Group for updates, resources and connections that will be helpful to your family.  We will also keep on file all authorized guardians who are permitted to pick up students from the facility. All students must be signed in and signed out.

Staff members have been CPR certified.

Lunches and Snacks

We do not allow outside food and drinks into our establishment, but we are making an exception for virtual classroom students only. Every student will be permitted to bring lunch, snacks and drinks with them. In addition, we have a neighboring restaurant who has agreed to provide a full lunch and drink for the same price as a standard SPS school lunch. We just need a headcount. You are also welcome to have food delivered at anytime for your child.

Drop Off and Pickup

You may bring your student anytime after 8am and pickup is from 2:30pm - 3pm. If your student needs a later pickup, we offer discounted rates of $4.00 per hour.

Masks and Other Regulations

We follow all Federal, State, County and City ordinances with regards to social distancing and mask wearing. The current mask regulations require all persons over the age of 11 to wear a mask.

Our Staff

We take great pride in the safety of our customers. Our staff is highly trained and vetted, all with federal, state and local background checks. Some of the staff whom you will meet and who will be available to your students will be:

• Brett Payne -- owner of Contender Esports LLC and our Springfield location. Brett has his degree from SBU and worked in non-profits for 25 years before commercial business. Brett and his wife have four sons … 3 graduates of Glendale High School
• Jesse Skaggs -- Manager of Contender Esports Springfield. Jesse was an accomplished high school and college athlete before entering the management program with The Buckle. He now serves as the local center manager as well as oversees management for other US based Contender Esports locations.
• Traci McColley -- works with Contender Esports Corporate in the development of franchise locations globally. Traci has her Masters Degree in Montessori Education.
• Mike Chapman -- Mike is the Director of Operations for Contender Esports Inc and oversees worldwide operations.
• Alec Inglett -- A Springfield native, graduate of Willard High School and attended Baptist Bible School. Alec currently works in our Springfield location and is in training to take over his own location in the US.
• Hunter Anderson -- A Springfield native and graduate of Kickapoo High School. Hunter runs the day shift operations at Contender Esports.
• Corey Lummis -- Corey grew up in Springfield and continued his college baseball career in Missouri and Arkansas. He is also one of the top streamers on Twitch with an audience primarily of middle school age gamers.

About Contender Esports

Our company started in 2018 here in Springfield, MO to provide high end gaming facilities to serve cities throughout the world. Our offices are located on the campus of Missouri State University in the eFactory, and our flagship location is on the corner of Battlefield and National.

We are also the franchise headquarters for Contender Esports LLC, with 3 operating locations in the US and another 25+ locations in the process of being built. In the fall of 2019 we established our first international office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and continue to work on international locations not only in the Middle East, but in multiple countries around the world.

Our greatest honor, though, is to serve the people of Springfield, MO. It is our home, it is where this family business has raised its children, and it is what we believe to be the greatest city with the greatest people.
